About Me

“I bring 14 years of governance experience alongside a career spanning management, entrepreneurship, primary industry, community services and emergency management. What draws me to governance is the opportunity to work at the level where complex problems, competing perspectives and long-term choices come together. I am energised by imagining a better future and helping shape the decisions that can make it possible — creating better outcomes for people, planet and economy. I bring an entrepreneurial mindset, curiosity and a willingness to challenge established thinking. An important part of my development has been deepening my understanding of Te Ao Māori and mātauranga Māori. I value being able to draw from both mātauranga Māori and Western knowledge, and believe different cultures and perspectives have much to learn from each other.”
