Applying corporate skills to the NFP sector, as well as governance best practice, saw the charity move from ad hoc management and an operational Board to a business that is set up for success with appropriate staffing, operational processes and funding with autonomy to get on with the job; coupled with a Board focused on governance, but agile to be hands on when necessary, as is often the case in the charity sector. ”
