About Me
“Tēnā koutou. I’m Angela Rowe, a governance practitioner and senior leader whose work has been shaped in Aotearoa’s arts, community and charitable sectors. My approach to governance is grounded in stewardship, mana-enhancing leadership, and a belief that the best decisions emerge through thoughtful engagement with people, place and purpose. I have worked where complexity is the norm: balancing stakeholder interests, strengthening organisational sustainability, building partnerships, securing funding, and supporting change. I am often drawn to situations that require careful sense-making, ethical judgement, and the ability to connect diverse perspectives into a shared path forward. I am now seeking to contribute more deeply at board level, bringing a systems perspective, strategic curiosity, and a commitment to long-term value creation. I enjoy asking good questions, identifying emerging issues, and helping organisations navigate uncertainty while remaining anchored to their values and responsibilities. Above all, I aspire to leave organisations stronger than I found them: more connected, more resilient, and better equipped to fulfil their purpose in service of their communities.”
