About Me

“Kia ora, I am an experienced director with more than 15 years of governance leadership across Crown aligned, commercial, and not for profit organisations, supported by over 25 years in senior executive roles. My governance experience is grounded in deep expertise in property, infrastructure, and large scale capital programmes, with a strong focus on strategic oversight, asset stewardship, investment assurance, health & safety and organisational performance. I bring a disciplined governance mindset, sound judgement, and a collaborative approach, alongside a strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnership and sector stewardship. My board and trustee experience spans a diverse range of organisations, including retirement living, property based trusts, sustainability focused industry bodies, and community arts organisations. These roles include current appointments with the Alandale Foundation and Alandale Lifecare Limited, where I chair the Property Committee and provide strategic oversight of asset management, refurbishment, and village expansion, as well as previous roles with the Carlaw Heritage Trust, the New Zealand Green Building Council, and the Lake House Arts Trust. Across these appointments, I have contributed to board strategy, chaired and served on Audit & Risk and Property Committees, represented investor interests, and supported organisations to strengthen governance frameworks, financial sustainability, and long term asset performance. In addition to my formal governance roles, my experience as an executive director and senior leader in complex property organisations strengthens my effectiveness at board level. I have worked within NZX listed, Crown, and privately owned environments, giving me practical insight into strategy execution, risk management, capital allocation, and organisational transformation. My governance strengths include the ability to constructively challenge management, lead strategic discussions, and balance risk and reward, informed by extensive sector knowledge and a strong national property network. I am a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and have completed advanced governance and board leadership development.
