About Me
“He uri ahau nō Waikato Maniapoto. Born and bred in Taranaki, I live in the Waikato but spend time home in Taranaki whenever I can. I am a lawyer, director, mediator and māmā. As a lawyer, I specialise in Treaty settlements and governance advice for iwi and hapū groups, as well as tikanga disputes before the Courts and in negotiations with the Crown. I also advise clients on employment and workplace law matters. I have held governance roles across various boards - including a national Māori organisation, a regional sporting organisation and charitable entities. I have been on boards for the last 15 years although I officially held my first governance role back in the day as student representative on my primary and high school Boards of Trustees! Ma whero ma pango ka oti ai te mahi.”
