“GOVERNANCE STATEMENT With four decades of experience in New Zealand’s construction industry, I have developed a deep understanding of the interconnected roles played by importers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and builders across the sector. My career has involved regular engagement with key stakeholders from many of the country’s largest industry players, providing me with a broad and nuanced perspective on market dynamics. I maintain a strong interest in the construction process itself—particularly in how it can be continuously improved to deliver structures that are well-suited to New Zealand’s environment, using methods that are sustainable, practical, economically sound, and visually compelling. In a governance role, I bring strategic insight and commercial acumen to support businesses in achieving sustainable profitability, building resilience, and maintaining a competitive edge throughout economic cycles.
