About Me
“I am a values-driven emerging governance leader with experience across tertiary, youth and not-for-profit sectors. I currently serve as Chair of the AUT Student Association Board and as a member of the AUT University Council, providing strategic oversight and accountability for a $2.5M organisation representing over 28,000 students, as well as Auckland University of Technology, which operates on a $480M budget, with 28,000 students and 4,000 staff. My governance focus is on strategic alignment, financial stewardship, and strong stakeholder relationships. I’ve led initiatives to strengthen transparency, audit and risk processes, and long-term planning, while ensuring that decisions reflect the well-being of students and the community. I’m completing a double degree in a Bachelor of Business (International Business) and a Bachelor of Communication Studies (Public Relations) at AUT, and have undertaken professional development through the Institute of Directors, the Risk NZ Conference, and the Aspiring Leaders Forum. I bring a collaborative and forward-thinking leadership style shaped by my background in sport and youth advocacy. As a former netball captain and umpire, I value fairness, teamwork, and resilience, principles I apply in every boardroom. I’m passionate about contributing to boards that promote participation, wellbeing, and opportunity across Aotearoa New Zealand.”
