About Me
“I am a senior leader with more than 25 years’ experience across sport, events, and local and national government in Aotearoa and the UK. I care deeply about strong community systems and believe lasting impact comes from organisations that are well governed and genuinely people‑focused. Governance has been a consistent part of my career. I’ve served on boards and worked closely with boards through periods of change—helping set direction, strengthen safeguarding and wellbeing practices, and keep equity front of mind. I’m drawn to governance environments that value courage, open conversation, and long‑term thinking, rather than short‑term wins. Around the board table, I bring practical funding insight, a strong focus on people, and experience working across sectors. I value good information, healthy debate, and decision‑making processes that genuinely listen to different perspectives and reflect them in outcomes. Through the Women in Sports Governance programme, I am keen to contribute to boards that are values‑led, future‑focused, and serious about growing sport and recreation in ways that are fair, inclusive, and sustainable.”
