“Ngā mihi! I’m Mel Tukapua, an experienced operations and governance professional with a strong commitment to building strong, values-driven organisations. I currently lead operational kaupapa at Riki Consultancy Ltd, a consultnacy company where we support whānau, communities, and organisations to navigate complex mahi with clarity, care, and cultural integrity. I bring a strong background in governance, administration, event coordination, and strategic planning, alongside a deep understanding of how organisations function on the ground. I’ve worked across a wide range of sporting codes and community environments, supporting boards, volunteers, and leadership teams to strengthen systems, grow participation, and create positive outcomes for people and whānau. My approach is collaborative and practical, grounded in aroha, accountability, and long-term thinking. I’m passionate about good governance, inclusive leadership, and contributing to organisations that serve their communities with integrity.
