Introducing me by video
About Me
“I have worked with and for a number of different sport organisations (in New Zealand and Australia) over the past 20 years, and have a sound understanding of, and appreciation for, sport management, sport governance and sport stakeholder relationships. I have a desire and passion to utilise my knowledge and expertise within these areas to help the strategic development of sport organisations. While I strive to maintain an active role in the operational aspects of sport, my governance, research and teaching roles have best allowed me to encourage sport organisations to achieve their mission, goals, objectives and KPIs. My previous Board positions have included roles as Chair, Deputy Chair and Secretary. I have extensive experience in undergraduate/postgraduate teaching within the sport and recreation discipline, including the coordination of courses focused on sport: events; venues; marketing; development; strategic planning; and, organisations. My research interests revolve around the management of sport organisations, the effective coordination of sport stakeholder relationships, sport organisation branding and strategic sport sponsorship. I am skilled in qualitative research design and analysis. I endeavour to continue to enhance my sport industry knowledge and experience through ongoing work for and alongside a range of sport industry providers. I am based in Auckland, as a a senior lecturer within the sport management and sport development disciplines at Massey University's Albany Campus. Please refer to my LinkedIn page for further information.”
