About Me

“My day job is about developing and leading teams for high performance, usually in Local or Central Government. I also have a passion for good governance and the benefits it can bring to any team no matter how big or small. I have real clarity about the nuances of governance versus management and I'm happy to represent either side of the equation. I have strong experience as a board chair and board member in the NFP sector. I am curious and like to understand the "why" factor. Fact based decision making is my mantra and I work best with frameworks that utilise great data for great decisions. Around the board table I contribute professionalism developed through many years of corporate experience, innovation, curiosity, entrepreneurial thinking, business owner knowledge and people leader strength. Professionally I focus on the philosophy of 'do no harm' and challenge through fair debate - hard on the issue not the person. I'm serious about governance and the great things it can do for your organization. I have developed my skills through hands on governance experiences and also professionally qualifying as a Chartered Member with IOD. ”
