About Me
“I am a senior commercial and procurement professional with a passion for contributing to meaningful change and making a positive impact in the world. Over the course of my career, I have developed expertise in governance structures, managing budgets, and strategic partnerships. While studying law I have been able to formally learn more around Te Tiriti and how that applies to society from a legal perspective and have added that to my learning on Māoritanga. As part of my formal education, I also have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Commerce in Management, I have undertaken a lot of extra learning throughout my career and am currently undertaking the formal Institute of Directors Board Essentials courses. In my youth I played as many sports as I could (9 in year 12) as well as successfully competing as an equestrian I have more recently competed at nationals for Wellington Rowing Club having come to the sport as an adult. I have an altruistic drive and I am excited about leveraging my skills and experience to being a board member for Sport NZ. Outside of my professional career and governance experience I have always had a drive to be part of the sporting governance - from previously been on the board for my daughters hockey team through to attending dressage committee meetings with my mother as a teenager. ”
