Introducing me by video
About Me
“I am a highly motivated, values based and experienced individual with strong communication and relationship management skills. I have governance experience prior to relocating to Aotearoa, New Zealand, as a member of the Board of Management at a school for children with physical and intellectual disabilities from January 2011 to December 2013 and as Chairperson of the Carlow Sports Disability Council, sub-committee from January 2009 to December 2013. The importance of good governance is integral to me both personally and professionally. For example, good governance has guided my decision making as a safe and effective practicing Physiotherapist. My career to date has included a combination of strong collaborative teamwork and highly efficient self-management in healthcare, disability, wellbeing, and sports contexts. I maintain a strong growth mindset This is demonstrated in my ongoing professional development, especially in my recently completed fulltime postgraduate master’s study at Massey University, gaining a Master of Business Studies with Distinction in Management, with the aim to pursue a career in the governance and social justice through sport and recreation in order to further serve my community. I am extremely proud of my work with the UP Foundation, which was established to create opportunities for tamariki and women, through sport and the arts in local communities.”
